Anns Point Cottages near Bar Harbor and Southwest Harbor offers very special waterfront cottages for your vacation or getaway; so special that many of our guests have made it a tradition to revisit us year after year. For generations, Anns Point Cottages has been welcoming guests to Mount Desert Island and it's premier waterfront cottages, each impeccably kept and inviting. We are also pet friendly. All of the Mount Desert Island rentals are either located on the ocean in Bass Harbor which offers picturesque views of the boat filled harbor, or on Hodgdon Pond which is a tranquil

piece of paradise with perks of it own. Since the cottages are on Mount Desert Island, on the western side of the mountains, your vacation plans to visit Acadia National Park couldn't be better. When you stay at one of our vacation cottages, Acadia is all around you making it easy for you to explore and find magical things both in and near the park. This side of Mount Desert is also commonly known as the quiet side because it offers a more peaceful stay that is away from the cruise ship port and the hustle and bustle of everyday life ..... this setting gives guests the freedom to renew and rewind while staying at one of the cottages. This side of Mount Desert is also famous for Bass Harbor Head light, one of the most visited and photographed spots in Acadia and certainly of all the lighthouses around. There is also a rare jewel on this side -- a granite clad coastline of Acadia is here. It is known as the Seawall of Acadia which commands the Southerly tip of Mount Desert Island's quietside. Guests are just a short drive down the road to this breathtaking part of the park. Seawall offers a perfect spot for a picnic as there are several picnic tables perched along the Seawall, and if offers access to a leasurely hike along the Ship Harbor Trail. Mount Desert Island as shown on the map is where the largest part of Acadia National Park is located. All of our cottages are conveniently located on the South West side of the park on MDI (rentals are near Bar Harbor which is on the Northeast side on the same island and near southwest harbor)

Cottage Rentals on Bass Harbor on Ann's Point. These Cottages are located on Bass Harbor on Ann's Point. Each are completely furnished, including towels, bedding and dishes, available May through October. Number One and Number Two are located on Bass Harbor with ample water at high tide to use row boats that we provide for our tenants use.

Hodgdon Pond guests enjoy the display of the natural and undeveloped Acadia National Park lands on the entire eastern side. Each of the cottages on the pond allow guests to enjoy swimming, hiking, and canoeing from the doorstep of these vacation cottages located 4.6 miles from Somesville, each offering privacy and all the comforts of home.
